Abstract

It is shown that for the 186,188Re β transitions, the Woods-Saxon and Nilsson wave functions give practically the same theoretical predictions for the nuclear parameters and the observables except the ft values. Moreover, a correct use of the formula connecting the ∫ α and ∫ ir matrix elements as well as the Fujita estimation of this formula yield results in agreement with experiment in contrast to the 170Tm case.

The superfluid corrections taking into account the blocking effect have been calculated for these transitions using the Woods-Saxon wave functions. They are in an appreciable manner smaller than the Nilsson ones.
