Abstract

The uniform charge distribution inside a nucleus is re-examined by using a diffused charge distribution, which reduces to the uniform charge distribution when the thickness is taken to be zero. Electron radial wave functions and ft values of superallowed Fermi transitions are discussed in terms of these two different charge distributions.
