Abstract

The energies and wave functions of the lowest levels of nuclei with two particles or two holes outside the 16O and 40Ca cores have been calculated in the two-particle RPA model taking into account the 2p-2h core correlations. The Tabakin interaction has been used and the two-body matrix elements have been calculated to first and second order including core polarization diagrams. The 4p-2h correlations included in the model push down the energies of the lowest states. The two-particle transfer form factors have been calculated with our RPA model wave functions.
