IBFA description of high-spin positive-parity states in Rh isotopes

Abstract

Properties of the odd-mass Rh isotopes are investigated in the framework of the interacting boson-fermion approximation (IBFA) model in which the odd proton movea in the $1 g_{92}$ and $2 d_{52}$ orbitals. Lifetimes of some high-spin positive-parity states in ⁹⁹Rh obtained by the recoil-distance method with the ⁸⁸Sr(¹⁴N, 3n) reaction are also reported. Calculated excitation energies and electromagnetic properties of the high-spin positive-parity states are compared with experiment and an acceptable agreement is obtained.

High-spin level structure and Ground-state phase transition in the odd-mass <sup>103−109</sup>Rh isotopes in the framework of exactly solvable sdg interacting boson–fermion model

In this article, the negative-parity states in the odd-mass ${}^{103 - 109}{Rh}$ isotopes in terms of the sd and sdg interacting-boson fermion models were studied. The transitional interacting boson–fermion model Hamiltonians in sd and sdg-IBFM versions based on affine $S U (1, 1)$ Lie Algebra were employed to describe the evolution from the spherical to deformed gamma unstable shapes along with the chain of Rh isotopes. In this method, sdg-IBFM Hamiltonian, which is a three level pairing Hamiltonian was determined easily via the exactly solvable method. Some observables of the shape phase transitions such as energy levels, the two neutron separation energies, signature splitting of the γ-vibrational band, the α-decay and double $β^{-}$ -decay energies were calculated and examined for these isotopes. The present calculation correctly reproduces the spherical to gamma-soft phase transition in the Rh isotopes. Some comparisons were made with sd-IBFM.

Nuclear spectroscopic information for known nuclides of mass number 96 (Rb,Sr,Y,Zr,Nb, Mo,Tc,Ru,Rh,Pd,Ag,Cd) has been evaluated and presented together with adopted energies and Jπ of levels in these nuclei. No data are yet available for excited states in ⁹⁸Rb and ⁹⁸Cd. This evaluation represents a revision of earlier ones (83Mu21,74Mc34). No data are available for 98Kr, but theoretical calcualtions are reported by 85Wo10, 85Bo36, 81A125 and 80Ca23.

The 1974 evaluation of A=100 mass chain (74Ko37) has been revised. The evaluated experimental data are presented for 13 known nuclides of mass 100 (Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, In). Excited state data are nonexistent for ¹⁰⁰Rb and ¹⁰⁰In. High spin excitations are known for ¹⁰⁰Mo, ¹⁰⁰Ru, ¹⁰⁰Rh, ¹⁰⁰Pd and ¹⁰⁰Cd. The neutron capture data are available for ¹⁰⁰Tc and ¹⁰⁰Ru. Particle transfer data exist for ¹⁰⁰Nb, ¹⁰⁰Mo, ¹⁰⁰Tc and ¹⁰⁰Ru. In terms of a variety of experimental studies, the ¹⁰⁰Mo and ¹⁰⁰Ru are the ones most extensively investigated. No. experimental data exist for ¹⁰⁰Ge, ¹⁰⁰Se, ¹⁰⁰Kr and ¹⁰⁰Sn, but amongst other nuclides in this region, these have been included in calculations dealing with nuclear structure, β⁻ strength functions, half-lives etc. (81Al25 for ¹⁰⁰Ge, ¹⁰⁰Se and ¹⁰⁰Kr; 80Ca23 and 85Bo36 for ¹⁰⁰Kr; 88Do04, 88De29, 85St14, 85B104, 88BaZS, 84Zv01, 84Le12, 74Ca10 and 73Da35 for ¹⁰⁰Sn).
