Abstract

A new dynamical symmetry appropriate for the single-particle orbits j = 12, 32, 52 and 72 coupled to the O(6) symmetry of the interacting boson model is constructed. For this symmetry we calculate energy spectra, wave functions, electromagnetic transitions rates and single-particle transfer amplitudes. This limit is applied to the A ≅ 130 mass region. We discuss possible evidence for the existence of a U(1220) supersymmetry in this region.
