Abstract

Differential cross-section and analyzing power angular distributions have been measured for the elastic scattering of polarized protons on 24Mg, 27Al and 32S between 13 and 27 MeV. An optical model analysis has been performed and the spin-orbit potentials display significant variations in the giant resonance region of 25Al, 28Si and 33C1. The 24Mg and 32S data have been examined in a phase-shift analysis.

The best neutron optical model potential parameters have been obtained to fit the experimental data of total, nonelastic, elastic cross sections and elastic scattering angular distributions (Han et al., 2012). The optical potential parameters for proton are obtained from the experimental data (Goloskie and Strauch, 1963; Dietrich et al., 2002; Okumura et al., 2002; Mcgill et al., 1974; Menet et al., 1971; Crawley, 1968; Dittman et al., 1969; Gerstein et al., 1957; Roy et al., 1983; Johansson et al., 1961) for p + 27Al reaction. The optical potential parameters for deuteron are taken from Han’s results (Han et al., 2006).
