Abstract

The nucleus 99Tc has been studied in Coulomb excitation with 4He and 16O, and 132+ and 112+ states are suggested at 762.0 and 726.7 keV, respectively. Two new levels at 625.4 and 1081.4 keV were established on basis of γ-γ coincidence relations. The lifetimes of the levels at 726.7, 761.7, 762.0 and 1081.4 keV were measured by means of the Doppler shift attenuation method using 16O ions and the half-lives obtained were 1.8±0.2, 0.7±0.4, 2.4±0.3 and 0.9±0.3 ps, respectively. With exception for the lowest 52+ state the level energies and reduced E2 and M1 transition probabilities are in fair agreement with the values calculated within the cluster-phonon coupling (Alaga) model.
