Abstract

The reaction 111Cd(d, t)110Cd has been studied with an energy resolution of 5–9 keV using a 22 MeV polarized deuteron beam. Angular distributions and analysing powers for states up to ≈4.2 MeV excitation have been measured. Spin assignments, spectroscopic factors and strength distributions are deduced from DWBA calculations. Strength distributions for different j-transfers appear to be fragmented over the entire energy range. They are compared with IBA+two-quasi-particles and quasi-particle RPA calculations.
