Distributions of i132 transfer strength in (τ, α)-induced population of odd-a platinum isotopes

Abstract

The odd-A platinum isotopes ₇₈^{191, 193, 195, 197}pt have been populated by means of the (τ, α) reaction at E_τ = 50 MeV. Spectra covering a range of 4 MeV of excitation energy were obtained. Angular distributions for levels in this excitation range have been deduced. Only a few $132^{+}$ states are strongly populated in each isotope, the actual number being 1, 2, 3, and 2 for A = 191, 193, 195 and 197 respectively. The spacing between these peaks exhibits an interesting variation with neutron number. The data are compared with predictions of current quasiparticle-core coupling models.

Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 195
2014, Nuclear Data Sheets
Experimental structure and decay data for all nuclides with mass number A=195 (Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Hg, Tl, Pb, Bi, Po, At, Rn) have been revised, updated, and incorporated into the ENSDF data file. All literature available by March 2014 has been considered. This evaluation supersedes the previous one for this mass chain (Zhou Chunmei, Nuclear Data Sheets 86, 645 (1999), 1999Zh11). The detailed level schemes, decay schemes, experimental reaction and decay data on which they are based are summarized and presented here. References, Jπ arguments, and comments are given in the text. No excited state data are yet available for ¹⁹⁵Re and ¹⁹⁵Rn. The adopted levels for ¹⁹⁵At are firstly presented in this evaluation. In addition, Q values have been updated based on 2012Wa38.

The present revision of the nuclear structure properties for the nuclides belonging to the A = 191 mass chain contains many improvements, corrections and additions to the material presented in previous evaluations (1995Br38, Nucl. Data Sheets 74, 611 (1995)). Besides updating many values, and including supplementary data for already known levels, transitions and level schemes, the most noteworthy modifications with respect to the prior evaluation are the first significant level schemes for ¹⁹¹Pb, ¹⁹¹Bi, and ¹⁹¹Po, showing many levels and transitions, mostly derived from (HI,xnγ) work. The first reports for ¹⁹¹At and ¹⁹¹W and the observation of linking transitions from superdeformed levels to normal deformed levels in ¹⁹¹Hg were also included. Most of decay data sets contain many discrepant data; in some cases, normalization is tentative.
Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 193
2006, Nuclear Data Sheets
The present revision of the properties for the nuclides belonging to the A = 193 mass chain contains many improvements, corrections and additions to the material presented in previous evaluations (1998Ar07, Nucl. Data Sheets 83, 921 (1998); 1990Sh30, Nucl, Data Sheets 61, 519 (1990)). Among these are measurement results for quadrupole moments, angular distribution coefficients, half-lives and g-factors, for both previously known and new transitions and levels. In addition, major changes to the previously known status of this mass chain consist in the inclusion of data for new superdeformed bands in ¹⁹³Pb, and the creation of level schemes for ¹⁹³Bi, ¹⁹³Po and ¹⁹³At. The latter were previously unavailable, except for a very limited attempt in the case of ¹⁹³Po, which was not confirmed in later work. Furthermore, the ¹⁹³Os beta decay was re-evaluated in order to account for new absolute intensity measurements.

The 1995 Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 197 (1995Zh27) have been updated on the basis of the experimental results from various decay and reaction studies leading to nuclides in the A = 197 mass chain since January 1995 (cutoff date of the last evaluation). The updated level schemes and decay schemes, and experimental decay and reaction data on which they are based, are summarized and presented for all nuclides with mass number A = 197. The adopted values of level energies, level spins and parities are given, and γ-ray energies, γ-ray intensities, as well as other nuclear properties are presented. The references, Jπ arguments, and necessary comments are given in the text.
Nuclear data sheets for A = 195
1999, Nuclear Data Sheets
The 1994 version of Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 195 (94Zh15) has been updated on the basis of the experimental results from reactions and decays leading to nuclides of mass number A = 195 by the cutoff date noted below. The detailed level schemes and decay schemes, and experimental reaction and decay data on which they are based are summarized and presented for all nuclides with mass number A = 195. The experimental data are evaluated; the inconsistencies and discrepancies are noted; and adopted values for levels and γ-ray energies, γ-ray intensities, as well as for other nuclear properties, are presented. The references, Jπ arguments, and necessary comments are given in the text.
