Abstract

The double differential cross section for high energy (Eγ>20 MeV) gamma-rays were measured for collisions of 86Kr on C, Ag and Au at 44 MeV/A. For Eγ>30 MeV, the spectra are exponential with a constant slope parameter of 12.1 MeV. For the three targets used the source velocity is close to half the velocity. In the frame of the source the angular distribution is almost isotropic, with a small dipole-like component. The data are in qualitative agreement with the incoherent neutron-neutron proton collision model.
