Abstract

A new anomaly has been observed in the Mπ+π effective mass spectrum for the reaction np → dπ+π at Pn = 1.73 GeV/c. The peak position is at 0.40 GeV/c2, and its full width is Λ ≲ 0.03 GeV/c2. None of the models studied here describes the bulk of the experimental data from this reaction.
