Electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of novel lutetium(III) mono- and bis-phthalocyanines
2013, Electrochimica ActaCitation Excerpt :Lanthanide(III) phthalocyanines, especially lutetium phthalocyanines have been investigated owing to their electrochromic and gas sensing properties and high intrinsic conductivity [1,16–18]. It is well documented that these properties can be tuned by changing the electron-donating or electron-withdrawing substituents on the phthalocyanine ring [15,19–22]. The specific electronic structure, characterized by the presence of an intramolecular axial interaction between the ligand π systems, allows sandwich complexes to find application in modern high-technology fields.
