Abstract
WE have investigated the dielectric properties of methyl-, ethyl-, n-butyl- and isobutyl-polymethacrylates in the solid state, at temperatures ranging from − 30° C. to + 150° C., that is to say, above and below the transition temperature Tg from the glassy to the rubbery state. We have measured the dielectric constants and losses at frequencies varying from 500 c./sec. to 14 Me./sec., by means of a special Scherring bridge up to 500 kc./sec. and a twin T apparatus for the higher frequencies.
