Notes: Abstract The scapular island flap technique has been used in the treatment of seven cases of axillary hidradenitis suppurativa. This flap, providing a smooth skin surface with good elastic properties, easily covers the axilla and permits the cutaneous reconstruction of the involved axillary tissue excision with satisfying aesthetic, functional results and a rapid local cicatrization. The donor site was closed by primary suture.

Notes: Abstract Although thick skin is generally considered a disadvantage in cosmetic surgery of the nasal tip, responsible for the supra tip deformity known as “polly beak” and other aesthetic defects, there are surgical guidelines that can greatly reduce the occurrence of these problems, the most interesting of which is grafting. On the contrary, thick skin could even be considered an advantage, if it masks amputated cartilaginous margins following any dome-sectioning technique.

Notes: Abstract A surgical method for treatment of the extremely hypoplastic tuberous breast is described. It is based on turning differently shaped glandular flaps to correct the deformity, followed by insertion of a prosthesis, and, where necessary, correction of areola size and position and adjustment of the skin of the inferior pole. The results so far have afforded total and recurrence-free aesthetic correction of the usual deformities. The underlying aim of the operation is to transform a hypoplastic tuberous breast into a simple hypoplasia without discarding gland tissue which can be used to thicken the most deficient mammary area.

Notes: Abstract This article presents the senior author's experience in fat grafting for the treatment of contour deformities of the buttocks and lower limbs. This method has been termed liposculpture and consists in removal of adipose tissue by cannula and syringe and cleaning of the aspirated material with saline. All external contact is thus carefully avoided, preventing contamination. Fat grafting is done in multiple tunnels in a deep plane. Total of 140 patients were treated over the last 5 years and results were considered uniformly satisfactory. Fat absorption was estimated by clinical evaluation to be less than 20% volume. A low rate of complications (less than 3%) supports the authors' opinion that this is an efficient and safe procedure to correct or enhance contour deformities of the lower limbs.
