Recent publications1,2 concerning the mechanism for the electron-impact induced loss of carbon monoxide from the molecular ion of thionylaniline have led to an examination of thionylaniline-1-13C. The results show that the C-1 carbon atom is not lost in this process, but only suggest the loss of the C-2 carbon atom.
