Eine Übertragungsleitung ohne Induktion und mit vollkommener Isolierung bildet ein elektrisches Analogiemodell der Diffusion und gestattet es, quantitative die Konzentrationsänderungen einer diffundierenden Substanz innerhalb einer homogenen Phase nachzuahmen. Es läßt sich für potentiostatische, potentiokinetische, galvanostatische und galvanokinetische Untersuchungen elektrochemischer Diffusionsvorgänge heranziehen und ist auch auf Wechselstrommessungen anwendbar, wenn man die Kreisfrequenz und die Impedanz berücksichtigt.
