    Description / Table of Contents: Homogenously lead-coated steel as a structural material Part IA survey of the requirements stipulated by industrial plants in respect of works equipment and structural materials exposed to sulphur oxide corrosion is followed by a discussion of the advantages to be obtained from the use of homogeneous lead coating as an effective measure of protection. Departing from the conventional lead coating methods, the relevant developments (pretinning as advised by Flosel) are discussed.
    Notes: Nach einem Überblick über die Anforderungen, welche Industriewerke an Apparaturen und Konstruktionswerkstoffe stellen, die dem Angriff von Schwefeloxyden ausgesetzt sind, werden die Vorteile, welche die homogene Verbleiung als wirkungsvolles Schutzverfahren bietet, aufgezeigt. Ausgehend von den klassischen Verbleiungsverfahren wird die einschlägige Entwicklung (Vorverzinnung nach Flosol) dargestellt.
