    Notes: 1.8-Dinitro-naphthalin (IV) läßt sich mit Natriumborhydrid über die 1.4-Dihydroverbindung (V) zu 1-Nitro-naphthalin (I) umsetzen. Aus 2.4-Dinitro-1-hydroxy-naphthalin (VIII) und Natriumborhydrid entsteht je nach den Bedingungen 2.4-Dinitro-1-hydroxy-3.4-dihydro-naphthalin (XII) oder 2-Nitro-1-hydroxy-naphthalin (X). VIII reagiert mit Lithiumborhydrid zu 1.3-Dinitro-naphthalin.
