Notes: Diphenyldisulfid-dicarbonsäure-(2.2′)-bis-amide (1) lassen sich mittels Phosphorpentachlorid glatt in 3-Chlor-1.2-benzisothiazoliumchloride (2) umwandeln. Diese einfache Synthese ist weitgehend verallgemeinerungsfähig. Die entstehenden Verbindungen sind sehr reaktiv. Mit Ammoniak werden 3-Amino-1.2-benzisothiazole (5) erhalten.
