Benzo-fused Seven-membered Heterocyclic Compounds, VI. Schmidt Reaction on 1-Thio-4-chromanones and 1-Thio-4-chromanone 1.1-DioxidesThe Schmidt reaction on 1-thio-4-chromanones (1) leeds to 1,4- and/or 1,5-benzothiazepinones (2 or 4), depending on further substituents in the aromatic ring system: electron acceptors favouring migration of the aryl group. 1 - Thio-4-chromanone S.S-dioxides (5) with hydrazoic acid only yield 1.5-benzothiazepine derivatives (6).
Notes:
Die Schmidt-Reaktion an 1-Thio-chromanonen-(4) (1) führt in Abhängigkeit von den Substituenten am Benzolring zu 1.4- und/oder 1.5-Benzothiazepinonen (2 bzw. 4), wobei Elektronenacceptoren die Wanderung der Arylgruppe begünstigen. 1-Thio-chromanon-(4)-S.S-dioxide (5) ergeben mit Stickstoffwasserstoffsäure ausschließlich 1.5-Benzothiazepin-Derivate (6).
