Description / Table of Contents: Hydridophosphates with Hexacovalent Phosphorus2-Organo-1,3,2-benzodioxaphospholes (3a-e) react with pyrocatechol in the presence of ammonia or triethylamine to yield salts which contain the anion hydridoorganobis(o-pheny-lenedioxo)phosphate(1-) (4a-e, 5a-c). Thermal decomposition of the λ6-phosphours-compounds in solid form and in solution leads to the formation of 2,2′-spirobi[ 1,3λ5-benzodioxaphospholes] (6) with liberation of hydrogen or the organic residue, depending on the organic substituent at the phosphorus.
