2-Imino-1,3-thiazetidines from Thioureas with an Intramolecular Hydrogen BondThe 1,3-disubstituted thioureas 1, which have an intramolecular hydrogen bond, react with diiodomethane in the presence of triethylamine to give the 2-imino-1,3-thiazetidines of the type 2. As proton acceptor substituents were used the 4-quinazolyl, the N-phenylbenzimidoyl, the p-toluoyl and the tosyl group. The structure of the thioureas, their S-methyl compounds and the mechanism of formation of the thiazetidines is studied.

Die 1,3-disubstituierten Thioharnstoffe 1, die eine intramolekulare Wasserstoffbrückenbindung ausbilden, reagieren mit Diiodmethan in Gegenwart von Triethylamin zu den 2-Imino-1,3-thiazetidinen vom Typ 2. Als Protonenakzeptorsubstituenten R1 fungieren die 4-Chinazolyl-, die N-Phenylbenzimidoyl-, die p-Toluoyl- und die Tosylgruppe. Die Struktur der Thioharnstoffe, ihrer S-Methylverbindungen und der Bildungsmechanismus der Thiazetidine wird untersucht.
