The Reaction of Diiodomethane with Thioureas without an Intramolecular Hydrogen BondThe unsymmetrically 1,3-disubstituted thioureas 1a-g without an intramolecular hydrogen bond react with diiodomethane in the presence of triethylamine to give the both possible thiazetidine isomers 2 and 3. The dependence of the yields on the substituents R1 and R2 is studied. The thiosemicarbazides 6b and c react with diiodomethane to form the 1,3,4-thiadiazolinium iodides 8b and c.

Die unsymmetrisch 1,3-disubstituierten Thioharnstoffe 1a-g ohne intramolekulare Wasserstoffbrückenbindung reagieren mit Diiodmethan in Gegenwart von Triethylamin zu den beiden möglichen Thiazetidin-Isomeren 2 und 3. Das Ausbeuteverhältnis in Abhängigkeit der Substituenten R1 und R2 wird untersucht. Die Umsetzung der Thiosemicarbazide 6b und c mit Diiodmethan führt zu den 1,3,4-Thiadiazolinium-iodiden 8b und c.
