Description / Table of Contents: Low Coordinated Phosphorus Compounds, 29 Diels-Alder Reactions of 2,3-Dimethylbutadiene with Stable Phosphaalkenes as DienophilesPhosphaalkenes 1a-h react with 2,3-dimethylbutadiene (2) to yield the 1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophosphinines 3a-h. 3a-g exist in two diastereomeric forms, which can be interconverted thermically under inversion at the phosphorus atom. This is proved by means of X-ray structure analysis of both isomers of the P-sulfide 4b. Dehydrochlorination of 3g gives the tricyclic compound 6, the structure of which is confirmed by X-ray structure analysis, too.
