From alkynes, allenes, and carbon monoxide ß-methylenecyclopentenones 3 and 4 are obtained in a one-pot procedure. The reaction involves a template-induced [2 + 2 + 1] cycloaddition via carbonyl iron complexes as intermediates. The regio- and stereoselectivity of this synthesis has been studied by means of model reactions. The fragmentation pattern observed in the mass spectrum of these compounds corresponds to the retro-synthesis.

Alkine, Allene und Kohlenmonoxid lassen sich im Eintopf-Ver-fahren durch templatgesteuerte [2 + 2 + 1]-Cycloadditionen zu ß-Methylencyclopentenonen 3 und 4 verknüpfen. Die Reaktionen verlaufen über Carbonyleisen-Komplexe als Zwischenstufen. Die Regio- und Stereoselektivität der Synthese wurde anhand von Modellreaktionen studiert. Das im Massenspektrum beobachtete Zerfallsmuster der Verbindungen entspricht ihrer Retro-Synthese.
