Dehydrorotenon läßt sich unter Druck katalytisch zu einem Gemisch hydrieren, welches in der Hauptsache aus d-Dihydroepirotenon besteht und nur wenig Dihydrorotenon enthält; nach Epimerisierung dieses Gemisches (mit K2CO3 in Aceton) überwiegt in dem entstandenen Gleichgewichtsgemisch Dihydrorotenon.
