Die AlCl3-katalysierte Spaltung von Benzyltosylat (1) bei 0° führt in Gegenwart von Cyclo-hexen zu Dibenzyl, 1- bzw. 3-Benzyl-cyclohexen (2 bzw. 3), Benzyliden-cyclohexan (4) und 7-Phenyl-norcaran (5). Die thermische Zersetzung von monodeuteriertem Benzyltosylat (13) spricht für einen Carben-Mechanismus. - Beim Zerfall von Thenyl- (6) bzw. p-Methoxy-benzyl-tosylat (9) in Cyclohexen entstehen neben Polymeren und p-Toluolsulfonsaure 1- und 3-Thenyl-cyclohexen (7, 8) bzw. 1- und 3-[p-Methoxy-benzyl]-cyclohexen (10, 11). Die bisher unbekannten p-Toluolsulfonsäureester heterocyclischer 2-Hydroxymethyl-Verbindungen werden durch Umsetzung der entspr. Natriumalkoholate mit p-Toluolsulfonsaureanhydrid (14) hergestellt.
