Notes: Perfluorierte Polymere reagieren mit Natriumaluminiumtetraäthyl und dessen Lösungen unter Abspaltung von Natriumfluorid. Das Natriumfluorid bleibt im ebenfalls entstehenden Aluminiumtriäthyl als Komplexsalz gelöst. Bei der Reaktion entsteht eine braune, entfluorierte Oberfläche, die nicht mehr die gewohnte extreme Oberflächenpassivität besitzt und sich verkleben läßt.
