    Notes: Behandlung von 6-Trityl-2,3,4,5-tetrabenzoyl-D-glucose-diäthylmercaptal (III) mit Äthylmercaptan in salzsaurer Chloroformlösung liefert nicht das 2-Thioäthyl-3,4,5,6-tetrabenzoyl-D-glucose-diäthylmercaptal (VI), sondern ein amorphes Gemisch verschiedener Tetrabenzoate, aus denen nach Chromatographie über Al2O3 etwa 50% 3,4,5,6-Tetrabenzoyl-D-glucose-diäthylmercaptal (VII) gewonnen werden kann.
