Notes: Durch Oxydation von 3,4-Dimethyl-o-benzochinon mit Phtalpersäure wurde cis, cis-β,β′-Dimethylmuconsäureanhydrid erhalten, das bei der Verseifung mit Wasser in eine Lactoncarbonsäure, das γ-Carboxymethyl-β,γ-dimethyl-Δα-butenolid, übergeht. Es werden weitere Derivate dieser Lactonacarbonsäure beschrieben.
