Notes:
The analysis of modern physical mechanisms of electron transfer in proteins is given. The tunnel electron transfer and donor-acceptor electron transfer through conducting states of a protein chain are discussed in detail. The expressions for the values of the electron resonance interaction and the formulas for probabilities of electron transfer between vibronic levels of donor and acceptor states in the presence of “transverse” and “longitudinal” relaxation are given.
