Es wird gezeigt, daß bei der Fällung von AgNO3-Lösungen mit Lösungen von Na[H3SiO4] und Na2[H2SiO4] rotbraun bis gelb gefärbte Silbersilicate der Zusammensetzung Agn+2[HnSinO3n+1] entstehen, die als saure Salze von linearpolymeren Silicatanionen verschiedenen Kondensationsgrades aufzufassen sind. Der Kondensationsgrad der ausfallenden Silbersilicate hängt dabei eindeutig von der Konzentration der verwendeten Lösungen und ihrem Gehalt an Neutralsalzen ab.
