SrCl2 forms homotypic mixed crystals with CaCl2 or BaCl2, heterotypic mixed crystals with LaCl3 or ThCl4. For the heterotypic mixed crystals, disorder arrangement of interstitial type has been stated. KCl and TlCl do not enter the lattice of SrCl2.
Notes:
Durch Röntgenanalyse wird festgestellt, daß SrCl2 mit CaCl2 oder BaCl2 homotype Mischkristalle, mit LaCl3 oder ThCl4 heterotype Mischkristalle in erheblichem Ausmaße zu bilden vermag. Die heterotypen Mischkristalle besitzen eine Fehlordnung vom Additionstyp. Für KCl und TlCl ist eine Löslichkeit vom gleichen Ausmaß nicht erkennbar.
