Phosphorous tricyanide was prepared by the reaction of silver cyanide with phosphorous chloride. The infrared and RAMAN spectra are recorded. The observed bands are concordant with a trigonal pyramide (C3v). The behaviour against moisture and the decomposition in contact with air is studied.

Phosphortricyanid wurde aus Silbercyanid und Phosphortrichlorid dargestellt und das Infrarot- und RAMAN-Spektrum aufgenommen. Die beobachteten Banden lassen sich den Schwingungen einer trigonalen Pyramide zuordnen. Das Verhalten gegenüber Luftfeuchtigkeit und bei der Zersetzung an der Luft wurde untersucht.
