Description / Table of Contents: Thermal decomposition of the fluoride nitrates AsF3(ONO2)2, SbF3(ONO2)2 and SbF(ONO2)4, which can be obtained by reaction of the fluoride chlorides AsF3Cl2, SbF3Cl2 and SbFCl4, respectively, with chlorine nitrate, leads to the well-defined oxide fluorides AsOF3, SbOF3 and SbO2F. These are white, hygroscopic, non-volatile solids. The IR spectra show that AsOF3 and SbOF3 are associated via M—O·M-chains (symmetry C3v); SbO2F belongs to the symmetry group Cs.
