Mixtures of condensed Na phosphates and Na disulphate with mole ratios of (P2O5 + SO3): Na2O 〉 1 react on melting forming sulphatophosphates of the type with terminal NaSO3 groups. The mean chain length decreases with increasing disulphate content of the starting mixture.

In Schmelzen von kondensierten Natriumphosphaten und Natriumdisulfat, in denen das Molverhältnis (P2O5 + SO3): Na2O 〉 1 ist, reagieren die Komponenten zu Sulfatophosphaten mit endständig gebundenen NaSO3-Gruppen vom TypDie mittlere Kettenlänge dieser Verbindungen wird um so kleiner, je höher der Anteil an Disulfat im Ausgangsgemisch war.
