The crystal structure of P4Cl8(NCH3)6, first prepared by BECKE-GOEHRING and LEICHNER, has been elucidated. The compound crystallizes monoclinic, space group C2h5-P21/c with a = 9.05 b = 10.58, c = 12.03 Å, β = 107.2° and Z = 2. Its molecular structure (see „Inhaltsübersicht“) has been correctly proposed by BECKE-GOEHRING, LEICHNER and SCHARF.

Die Struktur des von Becke-Goehring und Leichner gefundenen P4Cl8(NCH3)6 wurde röntgenographisch untersucht. Die Verbindung kristallisiert monoklin, in der Raumgruppe C2h5-P21/c mit a = 9,05 Å, b = 10,58 Å, c = 12,03 Å, β = 107,2° und 2 Formeleinheiten in der Elementarzelle. Sie hat, wie von BECKE-GOEHRING, LEICHNER und SCHARF vermutet, die Struktur:
