The preparation and properties of fluoromethoxoborates, M[BFn(OCH3)4-n] (M = Na, K; n = 1, 2, 3), are communicated. The thermal decomposition of these compounds yields, with n = 1, fluoride and boric acid ester, and, with n 〉 1, fluoride, tetrafluoroborate and boric acid ester; only traces of intermediate fluoroboric acid esters are found in the volatible products.

Es wird über Darstellung und Eigenschaften von Fluoromethoxoboraten M[BFn(OCH3)4-n] (M = Na, K; n = 1, 2, 3) berichtet. Die thermische Zersetzung dieser Fluoroborate verläuft bei n = 1 unter Bildung von Fluorid und Borsäureester, bei den fluorreicheren Verbindungen bildet sich Fluorid, Tetrafluoroborat und Borsäureester. Die als Zwischenverbindungen auftretenden Fluoroborsäureester sind nur in Spuren im flüchtigen Zersetzungsprodukt enthalten.
