By high-frequency titration, by potentiometric titration and on preparative way, the formation of the blue chromium(II) salts CrX2 · 3 Cr(OH)2 (X = Cl, Br, J) could be prooved at room temperature. At higher temperature more basic, yellow-brown hydroxide salts with variable composition, CrX2 · 3.5-7 Cr(OH)2, are formed. The compounds are oxidised by air; their X-ray powder diagrams are similar to those of the analogous copper(II) salts.

Durch Hochfrequenztitration, durch potentiometrische Titration und auf präparativem Wege konnte bei Zimmertemperatur die Bildung der blauen basischen Chromsalze CrX2 · 3 Cr(OH)2 (X = Cl, Br, J) nachgewiesen werden. Bei höherer Temperatur entstehen stärker basische gelb-braune Hydroxidsalze mit der wechselnden Zusammensetzung CrX2 · 3,5 bis 7 Cr(OH)2. Die Verbindungen oxydieren sich an der Luft, ihre Röntgendiagramme sind denen der entsprechenden Kupfer(II)-salze ähnlich.
