    Description / Table of Contents: Quartz will be transformed into the amorphous state during vibrationmilling and radicals will arise. Grinding in a current of oxygen yields groups, which are determined by ESR measurement, by their oxydation and reduction effect, and by their thermally dissociable oxygen. Milling in a steam - argon atmosphere yields [≡SiOH] and groups. Tests hereon are performed by ESR measurement, methoxylation, acid-exchange and hydrogen formation. - The spin concentrations agree well with the values obtained from the chemical analysis of the groups in the different charges of milling.
    Notes: Bei der Schwingmahlung von Quarz tritt Amorphisierung ein und Radikale entstehen. Mahlung im Sauerstoffstrom führt zur Bildung von -Gruppen, die durch ESR-Messung, ihre Oxydations- und Reduktionswirkung und ihren thermisch dissoziierbaren Sauerstoff bestimmt werden.  -  Mahlung in Wasserdampf - Argon-Atmosphäre ergibt [≡SiOH]- und -Gruppen. Der Nachweis erfolgt durch ESR-Messung, Methoxylierung, Säureeintausch und Wasserstoffbildung.  -  Die Spinkonzentrationen und die Werte aus der chemischen Analyse der Gruppen der einzelnen Mahlchargen stimmen überein.
