On the Magnetic Behaviour of PdF2 and the Mixed Crystals Pd1-xZnxF2Powder samples of PdF2 and the mixed crystals Pd1-xZnxF2 have been investigated magnetically; they show weak ferromagnetism below the magnetic transition temperature. Neutron diffraction measurements on PdF2 at 300 K and 4.2 K have been compared, to understand more exactly the ordering of spins. The orientations of spins in PdF2 at 4.2 K is perpendicular to the tetragonal c-axis and therefore similar to NiF2.

PdF2 und die Mischkristalle Pd1-xZnxF2 sind an Pulvern magnetisch untersucht worden und zeigen unterhalb der magnetischen Übergangstemperatur schwachen Ferromagnetismus. Um die Spinordnung genauer zu klären, sind Neutronenbeugungsuntersuchungen an PdF2 bei 300 K und 4,2 K miteinander verglichen worden. Die Spinorientierung bei 4,2 K ist senkrecht zur tetragonalen c-Achse und damit ähnlich wie bei NiF2.
