On Chalcogenolates. 77. Studies on Glycol Carbonic Acids. 2. Glycol Monocarbonic Acid and Glycol Dicarbonic AcidThe dimethyl etherates of glycol carbonic acids HO(O)COCH2CH2OH · 1,5 (CH3)2O and HO(O)COCH2CH2OC(O)OH · 4 (CH3)2O have been prepared by reaction of a suspension of K[O2COCH2CH2OH] and Na2[O2COCH2CH2OCO2] resp. in dimethyl ether with a solution of HCl in (CH3)2O at -63°C; the dimethylether was distilled off at -78°C in vacuo. The acids were characterized by different methods.By determining the decomposition pressures the heats of formation and the standard entropies of the solid compounds have been determined (data see “Inhaltsübersicht”).The dissociation constants of glycol monocarbonic acid and glycol dicarbonic acid in water have been determined. The thermodynamic datas of the dissociation were calculated.
Notes:
