    Description / Table of Contents: On the Mechanism of the Reaction between Hyponitrites and N2O4The mechanism of the oxidation of sodium trans-hyponitrite and sodium α-oxyhyponitrite, respectively, with N2O4 is investigated. The reacting species is probably nitrosyl cation which attacks one of the oxygen atoms of the hyponitrite or α-oxyhyponitrite anion, respectively.
    Notes: Der Mechanismus der Oxydation von Natrium-trans-hyponitrit und Natrium-α-oxyhyponitrit mit N2O4 wird untersucht. Reagierendes Agens ist wahrscheinlich das Nitrosyl-Kation, das an einem Sauerstoffatom des Hyponitrit- bzw. α-Oxyhyponitrit-Anions angreift.
