Description / Table of Contents:
Electron impact fragmentation of alkoxy-methyl-silylaminesThe mass spectra of five alkoxy-methyl-N-(butyl-n)-silylamines and of five alkoxy-methyl-N-phenyl-silylamines have been recorded and the fragmentation schemes are presented. The rearrangement involving hydrogen migration to an even-electron siliconium centre is common for the N-(butyl-n) derivatives. For the N-phenyl derivatives the high stability of the molecular ion and also of the other odd-electron ions is striking. A new rearrangement of the aniline group bounded to silicon is proposed.
Notes:
