Solid State Chemistry of Lead Monoxid Compounds. II. Synthesis and Structure of Pb9Ga8O21The hitherto unknown compound Pb9Ga8O21 was prepared and investigated by X-ray single crystal methods. It crystalizes with cubic symmetry, space group Th6—Pa3, a = 13.44 Å and Z = 4. The structure is discussed in respect to the GaO4-tetrahedra network.

Einkristalle von Pb9Ga8O21 wurden präpariert und röntgenographisch untersucht. Pb9Ga8O21 kristallisiert kubisch in der Raumgruppe Th6—Pa3 mit a = 13,44 Å und Z=4. Der Aufbau dieser Verbindung wird unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Verknüpfung der GaO4-Tetraeder diskutiert.
