Synthesis, Properties, and Constitution of Bis(dimethylaminopropyl) Cadmium and MercuryIt is reported about synthesis and properties of the bis[3-(N,N-dimethylamino)propyl] compounds of cadmium and mercury. The 13C-NMR spectrum of the cadmium compound indicates a spiranoid chelate structure. The concentration dependence of the coupling constants 13C—199Hg in case of (Me2NCH2CH2CH2)2Hg and Me2NCH2CH2CH2Hg—i-C4H9indicates a partial Hg—N interaction.

Es wird über Synthese und Eigenschaften von Bis[3-(N,N-dimethylamino)propyl]cadmium und -quecksilber berichtet. Das 13C-NMR-Spektrum der Cadmiumverbindung spricht für das Vorliegen eines spiranoiden Chelatkomplexes. Beim (Me2NCH2CH2CH2)2Hg und dem zu Vergleichszwecken untersuchten Me2NCH2CH2CH2Hg—i-C4H9 herrschen offenkettige Strukturen vor. Die Konzentrationsabhängigkeit der Kopplungskonstanten 13C—199Hg läßt jedoch auf eine zumindest anteilige Hg—N-Wechselwirkung schließen.
