Reaction of [WCl5(NCl)]- with Trimethylsilyl Azide, Crystal Structure of PPh3Me[WCl4(NCl) (N3)][CH3CN—WCl4,(NCl)], dissolved in acetonitrile, as well as the anionic complex [WC5(NCl)]-, dissolved in dichloromethane, reacts with trimethyl silyl azide by substitution of a Cl ligand, forming the azido complexes [CH3CN—WCl3(NCl)(N3)] and [WCl4(NCl)(N3)]-. The latter was isolated as PPh4+- and as PPh3Me+ salt, in both cases giving red crystals, which were characterized by i.r. spectroscopy. Single crystals of PPh3Me[WCl4(NCl)(N3)] were submitted to a structural investigation by X-ray methods. Space group P21/c, Z = 8, 9315 observed, independent reflexions, R = 5,7%. The lattice parameters at -70°C are: a = 1514.3 pm; b = 1708.5 pm; c = 1935.5pm; β = 105.29°. The asymmetric unit contains two independent cations PPh3Me+ as well as two anions [WCl4(NCl)(N3)]-, which differ slightly. In the anions the chloronitreno ligand is almost linear according to a formulation W⊖≡N⊕—Cl. The azido group as well as three chlorine atoms are in the equatorial plane - another chloro ligand is in trans-position to the WNCl group, yielding a distorted octahedral coordination.
Notizen:
