Notes:
The kinetics of reversible polymerization of a polymer system without transfer and termination reactions is investigated theoretically. An analytic solution is obtained that enables one to predict the variation of monomer concentration with respect to time in a closed system. When the polymer system reaches equilibrium, three different relationships are derived between the equilibrium monomer concentration and the ceiling temperature under different conditions. The classical relationship by Dainton and Ivin is a special case of the three derived cases.
