Polyarylate-polyarylenesulfone oxide block copolymers were used as an example to consider several general problems of synthesizing polycondensation copolymers of the polyblock type and the dependence of their properties on the weight ratio of different blocks and their degree of polymerization. It was found that in glassy block copolymers, on the basis of homopolymers similar in structure, and in the whole complex of physico-chemical properties, microphase separation occurs when the degree of polymerization of one of the blocks becomes corresponding to that of the statistical segment, and when the content of this block reaches a proper value.
