Summary Hairless female Ng/-mice were irradiated by UV-light for 16h daily over a period of 24 weeks. Monooxygenase activities were measured in liver and skin, and an induction of the aryl-hydrocarbon hydroxylase was detected in liver by both fluorometric and radiochemical methods, whereas no induction of this enzyme could be demonstrated in the skin.
